There is a thriving bat population in East Meon. The East Meon Nature Group supports the Bat Conservation Trust https://www.bats.org.uk/ and The Hampshire Bat Group https://www.facebook.com/HampshireBatGroup/ .
The East Meon Nature Group intend organising local ‘bat walks’ to illustrate our local bat population and how we can improve their habitat. Keep your eye on the EMN website blog page, the EMN Facebook page and the High Street notice board for details.
Injured Bats: If you find an injured or orphaned bat in Hampshire, please contact the Bat Conservation Trust Helpline on 0345 1300 228. The BCT will put you in touch with your nearest bat rehabilitator.
